Parquetry is a solid and hard-wearing floor covering which may
be installed in various patterns. It comes in blocks of timber
which are roughly 260mm by 60mm x 19mm and are laid individually
to create the pattern of your choice. Parquetry is precision-milled
and is designed to be glued down directly over a solid or flat
sub-floor. It can be installed over concrete, over particle
board, plywood, or existing timber floors. It usually comes
raw and must be sanded & polished. It can be easily repaired
or replaced if damaged by replacing individual blocks or sanding
& polishing.
